The former home of a French restaurant in Boca Raton, has sold for $3.1 million.

The Prakas Group real estate brokerage said Talbott Realty bought the 6,7OO-square-foot building on 36,000 square feet of land at 770 E. Palmetto Park Road, in Boca Raton.

The 12O-seat La Vieille Maison restaurant had been there for 30 years. Prakas said it was exclusive brokers for the buyer and the seller, Leonce Picot.

Greg Talbott of Talbott Realty said the property's cache and residential growth in its area give the property intriguing potential.

"There's no doubt The Prakas Group will generate an exceptional menu of candidates for this space," he added. "They know restaurant brokerage."

John Douglas, Prakas vice president for real estate investments and business acquisitions, said there are already famous restaurateurs and chefs interested in leasing and renovating the space.
