Boca Brokerages Firm Handles Las Vegas Deal

Athan "Tom" Prakas, president/broker of The Prakas Group Inc., a Boca Raton based commercial real estate brokerage specializing in restaurants and nightclub properties, has brokered a restaurant lease transaction for South Florida based Taverna Opa restaurant in Las Vegas.

Opa Vegas LLC has signed a lease of 6,300 square feet for a new Taverna Opa restaurant within the new Planet Hollywood Casono in Dessert Passage in Las Vegas. Desert Passage is a 490,000 square foot shopping and retail center that attracts some 15 million visitors a year and features store that include Gap, Sephaora, French Connection, Eddie Bauer, Cutter & Buck, and Tommy Bahama.

Prakas represeted the tenant as well as the landlord. Dessert Passage, LLC. The deal is valued at $7.2 million. Occupancy is exected this summer.

Prakas has been the exclusive agent responsible for finding locations for Taverna Opa restaurant since 2002. Current locations include South Beach, Miami, Hollywood and Ft. Lauderdale.
