James Layson has over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. He started his career in the Atlanta / Buckhead market, which was a trend setter for urban entertainment districts across the country. Having worked in every facet of the business, from entry level to management and ownership, he has a vast understanding of the challenges a successful restaurant, nightclub, or any hospitality venue might encounter. With his experience, he is able to provide a complete service to his clients ranging from site selection, permitting, licensing, design and layout, or whatever special need the client might have. Since relocating to South Florida from Atlanta, James has used his experience to become one of the leading Restaurant / Nightclub specialists in the area. His client list reads like a celebrity magazine, and includes the hottest trend setting venues from South Beach to Orlando. Many of his clients come from LA., Las Vegas, New York, Boston, Atlanta, and Europe looking to bring the newest concept to Florida.

James Layson has expanded his career in real estate to include, land development while working with some of the leading commercial and residential developers in the Florida market. Some of the proposed projects include, but are not limited to, multi-family, shopping centers (new and resale), and live / work urban developments.

James Layson is looking forward to opening the Orlando office of The Prakas Group with Tom Prakas. James Layson has worked with Tom over the last 20 years dating back to Atlanta. Working together as a team, they plan to grow in the Central Florida market for years to come. Analysts forecast the Orlando and outlying areas as the next Atlanta, with urban sprawl as far away as Daytona to Tampa.
